Starting off the song is leader and rapper SOYEON who hits what is arguably the most iconic part of the song and while it shows the power a woman has, fitting the theme of the song, I don't think it was the best move.
Having her sing the high note resulted in a lot of backlash for multiple reasons like it being "noisy" etc. Personally, I quite liked it but after several listens I can see where people are coming from as it can sound quite pitchy.
Furthermore it's quite troublesome to have to sing every stage but, I think that SOYEON truly was the one person who could do this intro. However, I would say that this isn't G-IDLE's best as the chorus was too simple and plain. On the other hand, I quite liked the other parts of the song like the pre-choruses and raps but, the chorus and last verse didn't serve the power and strength I had hoped for.
The song's instrumental carried a very expensive feel reminding me of their previous song "nxde" but with a more powerful tone. It had so much potential but I think the chorus didn't do it much justice :( the chorus is catchy but I tend to not like choruses that sound more like chants or talking. If done right, I can picture the chorus sounding more grand.
Although this wouldn't be one of my favorites of G-IDLE, I think the song is relatively catchy with the chant-like chorus or the killing part. I still love G-IDLE though and they should NOT receive any hate for this song.
